Time to turn the draws to victories.

After Saturdays toothless performance against Ipswich, it was imperative to bounce back against Nottingham Forest and put in a shift.
Thankfully all the ingredients that were missing at Portman Road returned last night.
From the off we closed down, harassed and hunted as a pack. It was great to see Kamara grab a goal on his debut, lets hope there is many more to come.
What a stunning goal from George Friend, it was an absolute peach.
The game as a spectacle was end to end, exciting, entertaining and full of incidents.
Despite taking a two goal lead, I still never felt comfortable.
Forest continued to probe, create and ask questions and it was always on the cards that they would find the breakthrough, they obliged via goals from both substitutes.
There is no doubt within, that the players and fans alike will be disappointed at us throwing away the two goal lead, but never knock an away point, especially against a good outfit like Nottingham Forest.
It’s now 7 league games played, with 4 draws. What we don’t want is the tag of draw specialists and I’m afraid draws won’t get us to where we want to be.The 3 point system was introduced back in 1981 to encourage teams to go for all 3 points. It is time to start producing and be more positive in our approach.

Before the season started I had said before a ball was kicked, we have to hit the ground running, like the hare as opposed to the tortoise, I’m afraid it’s been the latter.
Mogga was quoted recently as saying this is the best squad he’s had since arriving and there is a great bond. So far the paying public have yet to witness this. Of course players like Richardson,Adomah,Kamara and Butterfield need time to settle.
A couple of days ago Tony Mowbray was quoted as saying we are up there with Forest and Queens Park Rangers when it comes to the Prozone stats. For those that don’t know, Prozone is a technology that monitors a players movement and his ability. I’m afraid these stats, although they are good, are not the ones that matter.Since the turn off the year 2013,we have played 28, won 4, drawn 7, lost 17, in fact these are the worst stats in all 4 divisions and we have accumulated a poultry 19 points out of 84,this is totally unacceptable. Those are damming statistics no matter how you try to angle them.
What we need now is a run of consistency, scoring goals, gaining maximum points and climbing the table, no more excuses this is Mogga’s team they have to start delivering and start to win games of football otherwise the inevitable will happen.
The next 4 home games, against Bournemouth, Huddersfield,Yeovil and Doncaster are all winnable. Lets hope we succeed.
