Boro put sewer rat Diouf and Donny in the gutter

Perfect response against Doncaster after Saturdays thumping at Southampton. Great to see Emnes grabbing his 10th goal of the campaign and delighted that Barry Robson chipped in with a couple. Without doubt he has been the one success who has arrived from north of the border. Of course Doncaster were 2nd bottom of the division, but so were Nottingham Forest and they turned us over.
Looking at the Doncaster side not many names jumped out at me, but one stood out El Hadji Diouf. I was hoping that during the course of the game one of our players, would hoof him into row z. He has always been in the headlines, more for his antics than his footballing ability. In my opinion, he is a horrible, vulgar, obnoxious individual. When you look over his career, he should have been booted out of English football years ago. Remember him spitting at Portsmouth captain Arjan De Zeevw while playing for Bolton. He was fined for spitting at a Celtic fan during a European game against Liverpool and of course he was accused of spitting at a Middlesbrough fan. Recently all the focus has been on John Terry and Anton Ferdinand, as to whether the Chelsea and England centre half made a racist remark. There is no doubt that this is a serious accusation and something that we must drive out of not just football but society. Surely someone calling you a name is not as offending as someone spitting at you, anyone who does that should have their tongue removed.
The vulgar picture that lives in my memory, was back in the World Cup 1990, I was fortunate enough to be part of the competition with the Republic of Ireland squad.I recall watching the Germany v Holland game, when after a collision Frank Rijkaard spat twice on Rudi Voller’s hair, absolutely disgusting. I would rather someone punched me full on the face, or stick the head on me, than have someones saliva running down my face.
Going back to Diouf, QPR manager Neil Warnock probably got it right, when he described him as a sewer rat, but that might be insulting to that rat.
